Jimi Tenor & Impostor Orchestra - Exocosmos (2013)

Jimi Tenor featuring Impostor Orchestra LP, Exocosmos, is more than a decade´s worth of sessions emerging from a parallel cosmos. Sometimes the meetings take place in a living room, sometimes inside an electronic sequencer. Fields of rhythms have emerged through the hands of children playing sticks. The composer’s pen has been a conduit of the horizon where past and present choose their sides. The LP which is immediately intimate yet metamorphose into massive, the search for a magic moment has been profound. Tribulation and delight are equally true in Exocosmos.

A sprawling album of aural delight from Jimi Tenor and the Impostor Orchestra. Jazz musician Tenor brings on board a changing cast of big band players, choirs and expert musicians to create a release of varied and ever-shifting atmospheres, full of trickling jazz rhythms, late-night brass and the occasional flourish of electronics. Taken from over ten years of sessions, it's as strange and at times mind-bending set of songs.
